Sound Healing

A sound bath is a full-body meditative experience where people lie down and listen to resonant sounds. It often involves singing bowls, which create an echoing sound that ‘bathes’ people. Some people refer to sound bathing as a healing practice. If you are having depression, stress, insomnia, a "refresher" for the central nervous system then join us at KMM once a month hosted by Matt Mikeska.

Movement Meditation

Movement meditation is a fascinating practice that blends mindfulness with physical activity. Unlike traditional meditation, which often involves stillness and silence, movement meditation encourages us to engage our bodies while calming our minds. Movement meditation has its roots in ancient practices such as Tai Chi, Qigong, and yoga. The philosophy behind this meditation revolves around the mind-body connection. It’s about being present in the moment, paying attention to your body’s movements, and observing your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Unlike traditional meditation, where you sit quietly and focus on your breath or a mantra, movement meditation involves mindfulness in action. You can achieve a meditative state while your body is in motion—whether you’re walking, dancing, or even doing household chores mindfully. Engaging our bodies through movement meditation can lead to improved flexibility, balance, coordination, and posture.

Through our bodies, we can experience emotional release and healing.

Restorative Yoga

Need a session of stretching but in a relaxing way? Restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Veronique presents this class in a manner of mental strength, a boost of confidence, and to love yourself more!
